So Thankful

Before becoming a SAHM (stay at home mom) I use to be thankful for a new outfit from Banana Republic or a new pair of designer jeans, but now those things are few & far between. Now days I'm thankful for a pair of my old jeans that I can fit into! ;)~ This Monday morning when most people might have a case of the and my little man...not so much. This morning we had breakfast together and then we watched Good Night Moon a couple of times and by about 9:30 we changed out of our jammies and went to run a few errands. Our first stop was Starbucks were I enjoyed a cup of black coffee and Mason had chocolate milk. We sat out on the patio and soaked up the warm morning sun. Mason was so cute he would look at me and point at my coffee and say Mama's and then take a sip of his milk and say "AHHH". Then it was off to Walmart to get a couple of things for a new dish that I'm making. One last stop at the cleaners and now we're home. I love running errands with him.

What's going on with Mason:

He talks nonstop. When you ask him what his name is he will tell you Mason...and he can recognize his name when he sees it written.

He loves to come up to you and say "tickle, tickle" while tickling you on your neck.

He's recognizing his numbers. When he wants to he will tell you what number a certain number is.

Daylight savings time has been great for his schedule. I was really worried about how light it would be when he was going to bed, but surprisingly he's adjusted really well. He goes to bed now at 7:30pm (before DST it was 6:30), wakes up at 8ish and then takes his nap at 1:00 for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours. I'm really digging this schedule.

He knows a few of his colors.

He knows where the "time-out" spot is and will go sit there as soon as I tell him too. I think he thinks this is a game more the a consequence...we still need to work on this.

All in all in my eyes...he's perfect.
