Monday...Monday

Morning! Thought I would try to squeeze a blog post in this morning while waiting for a friend to come over for coffee. Something that has become quite a morning ritual for her and I and the kiddos. No coffee for them though...the have more then enough energy without coffee. Although, Mason loves coffee. Speaking of Mason he's sitting in his high chair that I rolled up to the tv watching Yo Gabba Gabba while eating his breakfast. I know I know...Mother of the Year right?!?! That's was one of the things I said I would never do...that was before I knew what being a mom would be like. This is usually the time where I'm able to go to the bathroom by myself. Okay...enough rambling.

We had a great weekend. Met up with some old friends at Watters Creek in Allen where it just happen to work out that our meeting spot was right in front of the Santa pictures where there was no line. I didn't have any plans to take Mason to see Santa because I refuse to wait in any kind of line long or kind of short to see Santa. So long story short...Mason met Santa for the first time and he loved him! The picture turned out soooo cute! Extremely happy about our first Santa experience. What else...what else...oh yeah we ate at The Cheese Cake Factory after Santa where Scott and I vowed never to eat out with Mason again! He's at this stage where he has a very difficult time eating in a high chair or eating period. I think it's a control thing. Looks like the terrible two's are a coming! I guess that's about it. I'm hoping to get a lot of deep cleaning done in my house and finish up a few Christmas gifts. We are super excited for Christmas and we and my parents have gone completely over board on Mason for Christmas...he's sooo SPOILED!!! I can't believe Christmas is next week...I remember when Christmas use to take FOREVER to get here and now it's like I blink and it's Dec. 25th.

Sorry there isn't any pictures....running out of time...Mason is running this way right now....got to go~

Blessed

He's here...Landon Andrew Walton made his grand entrance into the world Dec. 2nd at 1:29, weighing in at 4.15 lbs and 17 1/2 in. He's perfect! My 1st nephew is absolutely perfect. He gave us lots of fits while he was growing in Laura's belly and lots of worrying took place, but all of that was for nothing because he's as "healthy as an ox"! He has a very healthy set of lungs and believe me I've heard them first hand. Can't wait to get my hands on him again. Laura and Brandon seem to being doing wonderful job and I'm extremely impressed with my brother-in-law who has stepped up and taken charge with his new son...I never doubted that he wouldn't, but it's still pretty cool to watch. As I walked out to the car last night with him it was just him and I and he said to me..."Jenny this is the best day of my life" and he's right, but they just keep getting better. Congratulations Laura and Brandon on your new Perfect Family!

What a fabulous day

Today Mason and I had plans to head south bound to visit with my dad. As soon as my mom got word that we were coming over during the day she had to figure out a way to be there. So she was able to finagle working from home that day. We got over there around 11:45 and Mason was soooo excited to see his Nah-Nah and Papa. I made the mistake of telling him we were going over there after his morning nap so when I put him down all he did was say Nah-Nah & Papa over and over and never did end up sleeping.

After a couple of hours of hard play with Mason & his best bud (AKA PAPA) I laid him down for a nap. Well about 45 minutes in my dad sees him move on the video monitor and says he's up...News Flash dad...we move in our sleep. :) It all worked out though because we needed to get on the road before too long to. Before our road trip back home my dad wanted to take me for a ride on one...yes he has two Harleys. My dad has had them for a while, but I've never been on a ride with him. Let me just say...I totally get it now!!! I had a blast. What a fun memory to have...riding on the back of a Harley with your dad. My dad is pretty awesome. Sure we had our ups and downs when I was a teenager, but what girl doesn't?!?! Now my dad is my best friend and still after all these years I still find myself try to please him and make him proud. I hope I'm still doing a good job.

Okay got a run. Little Man would like me to give him some attention.

P.S. just bought my mom an awesome XMAS present...can't wait to see her reaction when she opens it.

Another P.S. Please keep my sister and Baby Landon in your prayers...a few things up in the air right now, but I know everything will turn out perfect.

Fall is finally in the air

This morning’s blog post is brought to you by me…snuggled up on my couch watching a little Regis and Kelly and think about my Christmas Shopping.

As I watch a few of my morning shows and they're all showing Holiday cooking and this year’s go to Christmas gifts I can't help but get that special feeling in my tummy that makes me oh so happy.

THIS POST IS GOING TO BE ALL OVER THE PLACE!

I'm so excited for my little nephew, Landon Andrew to be born sometime in December. Right now he’s in breach position, but still has a little time left for him to move and get in to head down face down position. If he doesn't then Lil Laura will have to have a c-section and they will be able to actual pick his birth date...kind of crazy, but fun too. I think he just wants to make sure that his Aunt Jenny is there for his birthday! ;0 )~ I have to get a few of Mason things cleaned up for LAW (Landon Andrew Walton). They're going to borrow our jumparoo, excersaucer and baby gym. I told Laura that there was no reason to by those things since I already have them and Mason is the only baby that used them and babies only use those items for such a short time period. I don't think we'll ever have babies at the same stage so it just makes since to share.

Today is my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday MOM/NAH-NAH!!!! We love you and are so blessed to have you in our lives. Thanks for being there for me and my family whenever we need you. I'm so lucky that God chose you to be my mommy. Love you forever...Hope you enjoy your special day!!!

Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week! Last year around this time Mason was about 5 months and this year he will be about 17 months. I can't believe how fast he's growing up...unbelievable. This year for "Turkey Day" we will head to my Grandma's house about 30 minutes away and then Mason will spend the night with his Papa & Nah-Nah(my mom and dad) and then Scott and I are going to wake up around 4:00am and hit the Black Friday Shopping Extravaganza!

Okay well...this cup of coffee is gone and Mason is napping which means it's time for me to get up off of the couch and get going. Have a lovely day people.

Mason this time last year 5 months

Mason 16.5 months

After her shower which we all dad so much fun at we met up with lil sis and B, Kasi and Jeremiah and Christi and Jeremy for dinner at Primo's and then ended the night at Flying Saucer. Our friends Kasi and Jeremiah announced that they're pregnant with there first baby due in June 16th. I'm sooo excited for them...they're going to make awesome parents.

Not much more going on other then all of the Stella & Dot Trunk Shows that I have scheduled for Nov.

The Woman behind the camera

Okay so as I go through the million and one pictures that we've (I) have taken of Mason since his birth I realize that there are very few that I'm actually in...which kind of makes me sad. Anyway...the picture below Scott captured as Mason and I were sharing a bagel. I don't even care that I little like total dog poo in these pictures because I feel like he really captured a special moment between little Mase and his mommy.

Yesterday was a fabulous day. Nothing too exciting just a lot of outdoor fun with friends. We took a walk with our new neighbors Megan and her two little ones Luke and Dillon and then played outside with or other neighbors Crystal, Elle and Gabe. We've got a busy rest of the week because I'm throwing my lil sis her baby shower on Saturday which happens to fall on my birthday. I've been so wrapped up in the planning of the shower that I've totally forgot that my birth is a few days a way.

Okay...got to run. Time to put on a pot of coffee and pick up all of Mason's breakfast that he's thrown on the floor....GOOD TIMES!

I hate you daylight savings

Ugh...little MC has been up an hour earlier ever morning since the time change. He still goes to be at 6:30pm, but now he's waking up at 7:00am instead or his regular programming 8:00am. Don't get me wrong...I love when my little man gets up for the day, but I really need an hour to myself to drink a cup of coffee, catch up on blogs and sit on the couch an wake up. Think I will have to head to one of the stores today and look into some kind of shade to bloke the sun.

Yesterday Mason had his seasonal flu shot. He took it like a champ. He thought about crying, but then thought nah...I can handle this. We are still waiting for the H1N1 shot to become available at our pedi's office, but no such luck yet.

Why does it seem like the Christmas season starts early and early?!?! While running a few errands yesterday I saw several store windows all decked out for Christmas. Come on people DON'T TRUMP THE TURKEY!

Okay...hope you guys have a great day and enjoy the weather...I know we are sure going to try.
When I pull out the camera Mason says "cheese"!

Halloween Recap

We had soooo much fun on Halloween. We started out the evening with our annual get together at the Collins Lane Cul de Sac with all of our neighbors. Then my mom and dad arrived and we went trick-or-treating with my family and our friends Stephanie & Jeff and their kiddos. Mason's costume turned out perfect. I had a vision of what I wanted it to look like, but I wasn't sure how it would turn out. The great thing was that everything I purchased were all things he could wear again so I didn't feel like it was a total waste of money. My little guy really enjoyed trick-or-treating and totally had the hang of it. I was so glad I took him out. After hitting a whole street of houses we headed home and my mom and dad took Mason home with them because we had friends coming over to hang out and I knew we would be up late and would like to enjoy a few extra hours of sleep in the morning.

Side Bar Note: I am sooo thankful for my parents! I can't say it enough. They're so active in Mason's life and wouldn't miss one of his events for anything. I love watching them be grandparents and love how much they enjoy being Grandparents. I am truly blessed to have such wonderful parents who think the sun rises and sets on Mason. Love you Mom & Dad!

Okay, back to Halloween. After my mom & dad left a few of our friends came over and we hung outside with a fire in the fire pit and then played pool upstairs for several hours. Such a fun evening. The next morning I headed out to Canton we Stephanie and Karen. My first visit to Canton and boy was it crazy. Had a great time, but was really exhausted especially after having to drive to my mom & dad's to pick up Mason and then drive home and deal with a fussy baby who usually goes to bed at 6:30 and just kept saying "night-night" and I was trying to keep him up so he could adjust to the time change. After putting him to bed Scott and I watched an episode of Dexter and then called it a night.

Well...better run. Busy day today-Home Depot, Super Target and then off to the Doc for Mason's flu shot!

And now I would like to introduce you to RAMBO!!!

Getting back on track

Hello. I know...I know...it's been a while. What can my little man and me have been pretty busy these days. The last few days Mason has refused to nap so please lovely readers pray that he will get back on schedule soon for the sake of this tired mommy. He usually takes 2 naps a day a total of 3 1/2 hours a days. I can't complain too much because he goes to bed at 6:30pm and sleeps until after 7:00. Other then that life is great. He talks so much, but then again he started talking at 9 months. I can't even keep up with all of his words these days. I love when I give him milk and he drinks it all he walks over hands me his cup and says mo pease (more please) and then tank u (thank you) such a smart boy. He loves to say Go Bye Bye and any time he sees me put on my sun glasses he say Go Bye Bye...too cute. We went to the fair on Sunday and he had a blast rode one ride with mommy, ate Fletcher's Corny Dog, fresh squeezed lemonade and finished the day off with a funnel cake. There's a kids petting zoo at the Fair that was the cutest thing. Mason literally ran through seeing all the animals and occasionally turning around to see if mommy and daddy were following along, but mostly was just in his own world having the time of his life.

Okay I know I've said it before, but I going to try really hard to be a better blogger. I enjoy it, but we have been sooo busy lately.

Have a blessed day!
