Happy Friday

Yeah it's Friday!!! Even though I'm a stay-at-home-mom I still get excited for Fridays. My little monster and I have a pretty busy day today. I got up this morning at 4:50am and went to the gym to lift. Once I got back home at 6:00am Scott was done getting ready and we had coffee together. Normally I we leave for the gym at 9:45, but today I'm hosting a play date at our community pool with a couple of our local Rockwall friends. We are meeting up at 10:30 before it gets to hot. Then we will be heading back home for lunch and Mason's nap. Then once he wakes up we are going over to my friend Christi's house for a little more pool time...then it's back to the gym for Zumba at 5:45...wow...I'm already tired just typing all of that...should make for a very quick day. Tomorrow we have another have a birthday for Mason's buddy JT. Should be a really fun party...it's at the Ft.Worth Stock Yard train station with a train ride. Mason loves trains so it should be a really good time. After the party there's a group of us heading to Joe T. Garcia's for dinner and cocktails. I've never been, but I've heard fabulous things about Joe's. Took a few more pictures of Mason and I yesterday. I have the way I look in photographs, but I really don't care...I must have pictures with my baby boy.

On a mission

While reflecting over the last 2 years worth of pictures of Mason, I realize that I am in very few of them. I guess that's because I'm the one always behind the camera. Well...I'm on a mission to change that. I'm going to try to take a picture with my baby boy (who's not really a baby anymore) every couple of days. I took this one yesterday as we were getting ready to head to the gym. He thought it was pretty funny that the camera would flash all by itself.
The rest of the pictures below are from the last couple of days. A few are of Mason enjoying cupcakes from the trial run of his popcorn cupcakes that I think turned out great and then from our afternoon at the spray parks.

I have a court date today at 9:00 for a ticket that I'm protesting...wish me luck!!!

Birthday Plans

It's early and I'm making cupcakes. I think it's about 6:00am and the cupcakes are already in the oven. I am doing a trial run for Mason's birthday cupcakes. Can't believe I'm less then 2 weeks away from my baby boy being a 2 year old!!!! Scott's in Alabama so it's been quiet around here after Mason goes to bed. Things have been pretty low key around here. We go to the gym every morning at 9:45. Mason loves it there and loves all of the teachers in there too. They're pretty fond of him too. Yesterday when I picked him up one of the teachers told me that he was really really smart! She said that all the teachers are amazed at his memory and how well he speaks. He's starting to say a lot of three word sentences. When it's time to go to bed (7:30pm) I just tell him that it's time to go Night-Night and that he needs to march upstairs and he stops what ever he's doing and marches up stairs screaming March...March!!! He's started sing and it cracks me up. He knows almost all of the words to twinkle twinkle stars and can recite his prayers. Last, but not certainly not least...when I leave his room for the night and tell him I love him he says I love you too and don't let the bed bugs bite. He's been saying I love you for a while, but the too part is new. Each day I'm amazed by this little person who stole my whole heart and calls me mommy!!!

Birthday planning is in full swing and I'm out of control. Mason's 2nd birthday party is a circus theme.

I'm making these cupcakes

We are getting Mason this for his birthday...I think he will love it!!!

That's all folks...it's time for coffee. Please forgive me if there's spelling or grammar errors...it's early!!!

Jenn

My Angel grew wings

Hello family and friends. Some of you may or may not know that our sweet baby grew wings and went to be with God. When Scott and I went for our first doctor’s appointment on June 1st we received the most heart wrenching news…that our baby no longer had a heartbeat. The baby should’ve been measuring 9 weeks and was only measuring 7 weeks so it looks like we lost our baby about 2 weeks before or first appointment. I had no signs of a miscarriage which makes it that much harder to believe. My doctor recommended that I have a D&C because I was already so far along and she said I would be in a lot of pain if I let it happen naturally. So this past Monday at 4:00 I went completely under, entered the OR and had that procedure. I’ve had many friends who have had miscarriages, but you can’t fully understand what a person is going through during a time like this until you’ve actually gone through it. I am lucky enough to have an amazing support system consisting of my family and friends. I don’t regret telling people about the baby early on because I can’t imagine going through this alone. I have closure now and am at complete peace about this event in my life. The hardest part of this process was trying to figure out how to say goodbye to my unborn baby. Well…a friend of mine told me that it would come to me when the time was right and it did. I was at church this past Sunday and during the end of Mass while I was kneeling I told my ANGEL that I will always love them, never forget them and that I give you wings so that you can fly to heaven to be with our Heavenly Father. I told my baby that I would’ve told him/her all about God and I hope that someday he/she is sitting with God and he is telling him/her all about me and the kind of mother I would’ve been. Later that day while playing in the sprinklers with Mason a beautiful butterfly stopped by and flew around Mason and I dancing in the water that the sprinklers were putting off and almost landing on Mason and I several times. It hung around for at least 20 minutes and I can’t help but think that, that was my ANGEL with its new set of wings stopping by for one last goodbye.

My sister found this poem for me and I wanted to share:

"Daddy please don't look so sad, momma please don't cry.

Cause I'm in the arms of Jesus, and he sings me lullabies.

Please try not to question God, don't think he is unkind.

Don't think he sent me to you and then changed his mind.

You see I'm a special child, I am needed up above.

I'm the special gift you gave Him, a product of your love.

I'll always be there with you, so watch the sky at night.

Look for the brightest star and know that's my halo's brilliant light.

You'll see me in the morning frost that mists your window pane.

That's me in the summer showers, I'll be dancing in the rain.

When you feel a gentle breeze from a gentle wind that blows.

Know that it's me planting a kiss upon your nose.

When you see a child playing and your heart feels a tug,

Don't be sad mommy, that's just me giving your heart a hug.

So daddy don't looks so sad and momma please don't cry.

I'm in the arms of Jesus and he sings me lullabies!

Potty Dance!

Let me start out by saying by no means have I started the process of potty training Mason. We have a potty, he likes to play with the potty and he takes his diaper off A LOT and then goes outside an pees. Well last night right about the time I'm getting ready to take him to bed he comes up to me says "POTTY", takes his diaper off runs to the bathroom (I follow him) and the he sits on his potty and pees in it!!!! I was so excited and so was he. We did a little Potty Dance in the bathroom that he thoroughly enjoyed. I know we still have a long road ahead of us, but Hey...it's a start!

Big News

So we have some big new to share. Last night Scott and I found out that in late December or early January we will be welcoming a new addition to our FAMILY! We are having another BABY!!! This news was very unexpected, but we are so very excited about this pleasant surprise. It's still very early so please keep us in your prayers. We go for our first Doctor's appointment June 1st. As of now we will not find out the sex of our baby until they are born. Won't that be fun?!?! Here's hoping I can keep up the will power. Mason will be about 2 1/2 when the baby is born, which I think is fabulous age difference.

Jenn
